Nigel graduated from Newcastle University with BA (Hons) in Politics & Economics before going on to complete an MSc.
He began recruiting in 1997 and has been in legal recruitment since 2002. He has recruited at all levels from newly qualified to partner level, recruiting candidates in just about every conceivable legal discipline. Geographically he has recruited for law firms in London and every region in the England & Wales jurisdiction, as well as for law firms based offshore (predominantly across the Channel Islands, BVI, Cayman and Bermuda). He also has experience of recruiting in-house lawyers for commerce and industry.
Nigel founded Farrar Levin in 2011 and his approach is to establish strong inter-personal relationships with employers and candidates alike. With candidates, he is keen to help make the process of finding a new role as straight forward as possible. Key to good candidate relations is the candidate’s confidence in their recruiter to keep everything absolutely confidential which Nigel takes very seriously indeed. Just as importantly he allows the candidate to retain control over the recruitment process by ensuring that they have the final say in where their CV is sent.
Many of the candidates he deals with like the way he works, primarily because he operates in a friendly, ethical and professional manner and this is borne out by the number of candidates who either return to use his services again and/ or recommend him to lawyer friends and colleagues (he has received countless referrals over the years from appreciative candidates).
